What Should You Know about Botox®?

Botox® is a prescription injection available to adults which temporarily removes wrinkles found between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It does this by temporarily paralyzing the muscle in these areas. After the Botox® has been administered it will take 2 to 3 days before you begin seeing the muscles relax and the wrinkles to disappear. The Botox treatments can last anywhere from 2 to 8 months before touchup treatments are needed. After you have been given Botox® you can resume your normal daily activities.

Dysport Information and Uses

Dysport® is a prescription injection which temporarily removes the frown lines found between the eyebrows, otherwise known as glabellar lines. This prescription does not affect the rest of your face so you do not have a frozen look after the injections have been administered. The reason these frown lines appear is due to muscle memory and to remove them without freezing your face, you will need 5 Dysport® injections between your eyebrows and along your eyebrow line. When this is done properly it will remove the frown lines and still allow you to show emotion without having a frozen appearance.

If you are interested in having this done, the appointment will be fast lasting only 15 to 20 minutes. Most people see results in as little as 2 to 4 days and it should last up to 4 months before touchups are needed.

Information About Restylane

Restylane® is a prescription injection which temporarily provides a lift to the cheek area as well as fills out the nasolabial fold lines. As we grow older, our faces lose volume making us appear older. Restylane® uses hyaluronic acid gel to increase the volume which has been lost. When the volume is added back to this area, it creates a more youthful appearance.

In doing this, it dramatically improves the shape of the cheek area while also correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines. It provides a lift to the cheek or midface area for up to 12 months and the nasolabial fold area for up to 6 months.
